This was (and still remains) big news from an ICT, Business and Economic perspective as this deal will see SEACOM driving the Internet in Uganda closer to businesses, offering affordable, reliable and quality Internet connectivity. You can read it below: SEACOM’s PARTNERSHIP WITH RAXIO DATA CENTRE WILL BOOST CONNECTIVITY SOLUTIONS IN UGANDA Cape Town, 13th November 2019: Leading Pan-African service provider, SEACOM, has partnered with Raxio Data Centre Ltd, Uganda’s first carrier-neutral, enterprise-grade data centre scheduled to launch in Q1 2020. Always at the forefront of driving connectivity in Africa, SEACOM recently launched Enterprise connectivity solutions in Uganda. Raxio Uganda’s world-class facility will become the cornerstone of digitisation in the country, enabling customers to seamlessly cross-connect within the data centre.  This will help to provide a consistent and reliable experience for SEACOM’s customers in the region. As the global carrier partner, SEACOM will drive the Internet in Uganda closer to businesses, offering affordable, reliable and quality Internet connectivity – highlighting the mutual benefit of the partnership. Raxio Uganda was established by First Brick Holdings Inc, as the first of its network of state-of-the-art data centres across the region. As an open-access data centre, Raxio Uganda will offer a wide variety of connectivity options, providing diversity and flexibility for SEACOM’s customers. The new data centre, which is currently under construction and is set to be completed in Q1 2020, will operate according to Tier III standards facility. At full capacity, Raxio Uganda will be able to accommodate up to 400 racks and deliver 1.5MW of power, in a fully redundant, high-security environment.
