As part of our ongoing engagement with the 4th Estate, Raxio Data Centre hosted the Ugandan Media Fraternity to a site tour where the media assessed progress of the facility under construction.

Part of the site tour activities included a debrief on the construction progress, a walkthrough of the data centre, a Q & A session as well as one-on-one interviews done by representatives of the various media houses with Raxio Data Centre officials.

Upon completion, Raxio Data Centre will offer a wide variety of connectivity options, providing diversity and flexibility for customers thanks to its carrier neutrality. It will also operate according to Tier III standards facility and at full capacity will be able to accommodate up to 400 racks and deliver 1.5MW of power, in a fully redundant, high-security environment.

The media fraternity were quite impressed at the progress of the facility and thanked Raxio management for considering them for the briefing.

“We are usually invited for launches of various projects but we never know what goes behind or ahead of these launches. It is good that Raxio Data Centre decided to invite us and update us on progress, in spite of the fact that construction is still ongoing” said Bernard Busulwa of The East African.

In case you missed it, here is a video recap showing key highlights of the media tour in Namanve involving Uganda’s top tier journalists. Here is the video link: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=196794578267878
